    女人被人贩子以一袋红薯的价格卖到黄土高原的八里沟村。那里生长作物的土壤,也成为她的泥娃娃的材料,承载着她的希望和哀伤。 In a village on Chinese löss-plateau, a woman is sold to a farmer for a bag of sweet potatoes. The dark-red soil there nourishes the crops and gives body to her mud dolls, which are both her hope and downfall.

    赵易对现实题材很感兴趣。他的作品经常是关于在生活中挣扎的压抑的小人物。在媒体中经常出现的农村被拐卖妇女是典型的这样一个群体。她们的遭遇有很多戏剧元素,也反映了很多社会问题,从而成为了‘八里沟’的素材。 Yi Zhao takes interests in realistic themes. His works often depict ordinary people struggling to cope with the world and each other in their daily lives. The purchased peasant wives in China fall into this category, whose stories touched Yi Zhao deeply and provided the dramatic elements for LÖSS.

    本片是由16场梦境组成。内容包括:背后的人与羽毛丰硕的鸡头;脱光毛的鸡头腐蚀成人脸;四肢被束缚,不断坠落、上升的人;眼球在地上滚动,身体悬挂在废墟的人;一具具尸体从天而降,被塞进车床打孔等片段构成整个影片。 This film is made up of 16 dreamlands. Contents include: people behind back and chicken head with rich feathers; bare chicken head rots into human face; people with bound legs and hands continuously falling down and going up; people with eyeballs rolling on the ground and body hanging on the ruins; a dead body falls from sky and is embedded into a lathe to drill hole.

    《灵魂的危险》是由398张版画制作而成的动画影像,整个作品历时420余天。展映现场由17台老式电视机组成。每台电视播放不同的部分,影像前后经过Photoshop,AfferEffects,MAX等软件输出,声音使用Logic制作音效以及Audition混音。 梦境像一具灵魂,它有自己的思想,独立于我的身体之外,却又伴随我左右。 影响我创作的不是实验影像文献,而是那一直伴随生活的梦境。我喜欢把看似无序的梦境转换成影像,通过装置的方式,让时间性和空间性进去一个“随意”的场域。 Dream Day is an animation film made by 398 prints. The entire product spent more than 420 days. The show site is made up of 17 old-style televisions. Each television plays different part. The film is input by Photoshop, AfferEffects and MAX, sound is made by Logic sound effect and sound mixing is made by Audition. Dreamland is like a soul, which has own thought and stays independent from my body, but accompanies me always. What influences my creation is not my experiment film literature, but the dreamland accompanying my life. I like to transform the seemingly disordered dreamland into film. Through method of device, I like to enable time and space to enter into a “random” field.

    本片,改编自罗贯中《走麦城》和卡夫卡《城堡》。导演力图呈现一种难以通过叙事来表达的意境,展现一个存在主义者的存在感逐渐虚弱的过程中,他的意识里开始充塞着困惑与彷徨。这些不确定的意识与剧情中发生的怪诞情节一起,形成古怪的意识流般的语境。它们看上有点超现实,我试图这样来表达一种难以确定的困惑感。 影片杂糅中西方文学经典人物,融入木偶剧、荒诞戏剧、话剧、戏曲等多种艺术手法,演绎了一个梦化的城堡里面所发生的抽象戏剧。 The Castle of Lallation, adapted from two literature works: the one is a history Chinese literature novel - Go To the Mai City by Luo Guanzhong; the other one is a western existentialism literature novel“The Castle” by Franz kafka. The film, tries to present a kind of artistic conception which is difficult to express through narrative.I try to show the existence sense of an existentialist who gradually become weak in the process. His mind filled with confusion and hesitation. These uncertain consciousnesses combined with the bizarre plot in the film, forming eccentric stream-of-consciousness context. They look like a bit surreal, I tried to express such a confusion that is difficult to determine. The film mixed the literature classic characters of Chinese and western, added the puppet show, absurd drama, modern drama, opera and other artistic techniques, performed an abstraction of drama occurred in a dreamed castle.

    本片,建立在中国传统木偶艺术形式,使其能够适应定格动画的表演需要,并同时杂糅了戏曲、话剧的形式,制作了这部跨界的木偶剧。该片于2015年9月最终完成,全长18分钟,是我的“困惑三部曲”中的最后一部。 影片主人公的造型是中国古代英雄——关羽,历史中,他战死在一个叫做“麦城”的小城堡里,事实上他原本可以逃离那个城,但是他没有。他的状态在我看来,实则为一种在无序的崩溃边缘中的迷失,复杂而矛盾的情感是这个文学人物的精髓。正是这点启发了我的思考,从而让我将“关羽”和《城堡》中的土地测量员联系在了一起。片中,主人公无意中跟随一只蝴蝶进入了一个城堡,而城堡的主人向他展示了城堡里的秘密——那是一个寄托着荒诞乌托邦理想的“蝴蝶工厂”。在一切怪异行为和固执努力之后,所有的人都没有等到蜕变与升华的结果,影片主人公最终迷失在这个陈旧而怪诞的小城里。然而,这仅仅只是城堡里周而复始的一小段的蒙太奇片段,它们犹如梦境般的支离破碎,而又必然联系着。 I want to introduce an ancient puppet performances--"glove puppet show" originated in the southeast coastal area of China, my movie is based on the art form. In order to meet the needs of the performance of stop-motion,I mixed and merged the form of opera and drama elements, into this crossover puppet show. The film completed in September 2015, in 18 minutes which is the last one of my "confused trilogy". The film character modelling is the ancient Chinese hero who named Guan Yu, in the history, he died in a small castle, called "Mai city". In fact, he could have fled the city, but he didn't. In my opinion, His condition as a disorderly collapse of the lost,while his complex and contradictory emotion is the essence of this literary figure. It inspired me thinking, so that I connected the "Guan Yu" and the “K” of the “castle” together. In the film, the hero follows a butterfly into a castle incidentally, and the owner of the castle shows to him the secrets of the castle.It is a "butterfly factory" reposed the absurdist utopian ideal. After made strange behavior and persistent efforts, all the people did not wait the result of metamorphosis and sublimation.In the end of the film, the hero finally lost in this old and weird castle. However, this is just a piece of montage fragment in the cycle of the castle,It seems like a shattered dream,but connected consequentially.

    雾中鸟巢展现的是一个在工业迅速发展的城市中的一个家庭,随着工业的迅猛发展,由于管理层缺少相应的治理措施,空气污染非常严重。以家庭为单位的个体内部,充斥着冷漠,对峙和隔阂。现实中人们的交流需要隔着口罩,一切感受都不再是那么真实。我把对现实的感受和对家庭的理解融合,利用双屏影像将两代人之间的代沟,父母之间的情感隔阂,以及个体与社会发展的碰撞隔离开。这种双屏幕的影像装置增大了人与人,人与城市之间的距离感,反衬出工业发展的无情与家庭冷暴力的杀伤力。 Wearing the Fog focuses on a family living in a city which industry is developing rather rapidly.It is full of indifference, confrontation and estrangement in the film. Due to the lack of administrative control, the air pollution is very serious in this city. In daily life, people have to communicate with each other through the obstruction of gauze mask and fog. This kind of interaction disrupts the possibility of real contact.I mix the feeling of severe reality and the understanding of family to show the gap between two generations.The estrangement between the father and the mother,the clash between individual and social development, all of these are enhanced by double-screen installation.

    我只是想知道是什么让我们的生活为什么如此不堪又生机勃勃。 ‘雾中鸟巢’拍摄于我父母的家中,由我的父母,弟弟,和我自己出演,我既是旁观者,也是参与者,控制情节的发生,又深陷其中。影片由几个片段性的故事情节组成,围绕着一个支离破碎的家庭和冷酷的城市工业化发展展开。这些不同的非叙事的情节展现了我内心对家庭和周围环境的的恐慌以及厌恶。 I wonder what on earth has made the life so unbearable while vigorous? The way that I approached it was to put two cameras in my home to record my family as well myself. I wanted to be involved in this experience and this moments. I was the director and one of the characters. All the situations go under my eyes, I control it and intervene it. I’m a spectator as well as a participator.It centers around the coldness of the industrial world and the indifference of a family. The video consists of multiple narratives that are told in a non-linear fashion. The different stories show what I fear and what I hate to see.

    随着手机功能的不断强大,人们对手机的依赖也越来越大。挤公交、工作、谈恋爱、吃饭、睡觉......生活里的每个缝隙几乎都被手机填满了,不知不觉,它成了人们生命中“最重要的人”。然而许多人在社交网络里广结朋友,和陌生人侃侃而谈,在现实生活中却沉默少语,对社交产生恐惧。这不禁让人感慨手机到底是拉近了人与人之间的距离,还是使人们渐行渐远了呢?我们的动画作品就是针对当今的这个社会现象创作的二维动画短片。 With smart phones getting smarter and smarter,people rely themselves on phones more often.No matter when you are traveling on the bus,working on the table,having a love affair,enjoying dinner or dreaming at night,our spare time is almost dominated by smart phones.Unconsciously,they have become the ones that matter in our life.However,you can find that although some people are making plentiful friends through social media,chatting freely with strangers,they talk little in the real life,even having a social anxiety.So are smart phones getting people closer or even further? Our animation is created based on the social phenomen above.

    我们的动画作品《向下》是针对“低头族”这个群体所创作的。以孩子的视角作为影片的切入点,讲述小男孩对这个机不离手的世界从不解到最终被同化的过程。我们想通过这部影片呼吁全世界的人们放下手机,面对面的关心周围的人,不要把自己框在手机这方狭小的天地里。 Our animation Down is made for the group of " Smartphone addicts". Taking the child's perspective as the breakthrough point, the short film tells a story about a little boy which cannot figure out the smartphone world from the beginning, however, be assimilated by the phone in the end. We are appealling people from all over the world to put down their smartphones and to concern about each other face to face.Don’t limit yourself in the tiny field of smart phones.

    伊甸园是《圣经》里我们最原始的美好家园。这部片子主要是对当今生态的思考,人类对动物的猎杀,肆无忌惮的毁灭性发展,生态食物链严重的破坏影响到了人类自身的生存。这个美丽的伊甸园开始走向黄昏,人类对未来深深忧虑,最后移居到其他新的星球上生活。画面色彩简单。绘制的过程采取同一张画面上涂抹修改这种表现方式,整部影片呈现出来的是非常明显的手工痕迹,就像手稿,是完全个人化的,并有着绘画的偶然性。那些痕迹就像一部电影呈现出来,又像一段回忆在慢慢淡出,或者像时空流梭留下的痕迹被描绘出来。再加上片段化剪辑、钟表和心跳的声效。这部作品是我们俩在当下这个我们自身生活的时代,我们对于自己周边的变化的一种真实的体会和表达。 The garden of Eden in the Bible is our most primitive better homes. This film is mainly about today's ecological thinking.The endless hunting leads a devastating development. At the same time,ecological food chain damage affects the survival of human beings. The beautiful garden of Eden moving towards dusk, people deeply worried about the future, finally start a new life on other planets. Simple color fill in the painting. We use clear daub to show manmade script.It seems like an occasionally paiting procession. Those tracks just like a movie, as well as a memory which fade out slowly.It also like the flow of time and space shuttle. It coupled with the fragmentation of clips, clocks and heartbeat sound. This work aims to express our feeling of current life.

    擦边儿小组 我们不是什么艺术家,我们只是在从事这个工作,选择了众多爱好中的一种。我们用擦边儿的态度看待问题,因为在很多情况下只有以擦边儿或者说不完全参与进去的态度才会有相对清晰一点的头脑。我们用边缘的角度来审视看待和处理问题。不用硬性的态度和行动,而是用擦着边儿的处理方式来参与。在我们的生活中很多问题和事件我们都没有任何决定性,甚至连参与都不能对事件造成任何影响,所以我们只能擦边儿的方式来干扰和发声。 Quasi-spectator Team We are not artists. We are only doing a job, or rather choosing one of our many hobbies. We see things in quasi-spectators way, since in many cases it is only through acting as a quasi-spectator, or partial participant, that we can maintain relative impartiality. We look at and deal with issues from the angle of a bystander. We walk a fine line instead of adopting rigid attitudes and actions. We have no decision-making power in so many aspects of our lives, and even full participation can turn out to be useless. Therefore, the only thing we can do is to interfere and make some noise as a quasi-spectator.

It explores the relationship between myself and the cells which composed of my body. They sustain the body silently,having neither negative attitude nor positive attitude.In the blink of an eye, the cell goes through its whole life and dies silently.

    因为城市的节奏,让我们失去了很多很多的美好,总想找个诗意栖居的地方,找了好多年,找了好多好多地方,自己仍没有避开纷纷扰扰,于是,这些年来用书、用音乐、间或用酒精来消解这些烦躁。有一天,我读到光阴的故事、读到老人与海的传奇、读到人与自然的历史,理解到青春易逝,容颜易老……我开始营造桃花源、开始建造能留住时光的岛,我希望能把幸福留下、希望让生活的节奏变得再慢一些、希望让孩子和老人每天都能忘记自己的年龄…… 昨日的岛,集结了转瞬即逝的光阴、短暂而又美好的爱情、听海浪的声音过着平平淡淡的日子,等等生活的场景,交织出一幅美丽而富有的画卷。舟、岛、书、水、空气,都是画卷中不可或缺的“点景”。人,男人和女人,便是传递光阴与爱情故事的主人公。 We lost a lot of happinesses in the fast changing city.I always want to find a poetic habitat. But after many years,I still cannot avoid the noises.Then I tried many times to reduce my anxiety by using books,music,as well as alcohol.One day,I read a book refer to time,legendary,and history.I suddenly got the meaning that youth years passed away quickly.Then I started to build a Utopia which can keep happiness and slow down the life speed.I also want to let people forget their ages. The island of yesterday which gathered changing time,beautiful but regretful love stories,the peaceful life with wave sound,and many other vivid life scenes.Boats,books,water,and air,these are all indispensabilities in a traditional paiting.Human beings,including man and women,they are the heroes of sending peace and love.

    女王时常梦到一头六齿象王,她觊觎象王那六根洁白如玉的象牙,用来修饰她彰显权势的龙玺。于是,女王指使心腹大臣去猎杀象王。狡猾的大臣扮作僧人模样佯装凄苦,骗得象王同情。慈悲的象王牺牲自己的性命献出象牙。大臣取得象牙回宫献予女王。象牙化作象王怨灵与女王对峙。最终邪不压正,象王打散了墨龙,言语点醒了彷徨失措的女王,令她记起自己的前世正是被人类猎杀的象后。 The queen always dreamed an elephant king who has six ivories.She wanted to use the ivories to manifest her great imperial seal.Then she ordered one of her favorite ministers to hunt the elephant king.The cunning minister pretended as a poor monk to get elephant king's sympathy,but the merciful elephant king gave out his ivories and dead in the end.The minister went back to the palace with the ivories and presented them to the queen. However,the wraith of the elephant King appeared out from ivories and against to the queen.Finally,all evils failed,the elephant King won and reminded the panic queen about that she had been an elephant queen in her previous life.

    《象王》的剧本脱胎于印度佛教故事《六牙象王本生》。影片中女王和象王之间的矛盾,映射了人类与动物之间的关系。人类为了满足自身需求,无故虐杀动物。导致大量物种濒临灭绝,生态平衡遭到破坏。有因必有果,人类最终必将像片中的女王一样,自食其果,遭到大自然的报复。我们希望能通过该片呼吁大家保护动物、别吃朋友。这也是我们创作该片的初衷。 The contradiction between the queen and elephant king in the film, mapping the relationship between human and animals. In order to meet their own needs, human slaughter animals without reasons,which resulting in the extinction of species and ecological balance destroyed.There is no action without consequence,mankind will eventually suffer the revenge of nature. We hope to appeal people to protect animals, do not eat friends. This is our original intention of the creation of this film.
